Afternoon Tea

A Traditional Pastime

It is said that Anna Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford, invented Afternoon Tea in 1840 to satisfy her peckishness during the long wait between lunch and dinner.

Today, we are proud to continue this long established Manor House ritual – with Rockhill’s creative twist.

Prepared and served fresh each day, our menu faithfully follows the traditional combination of sweet and savoury.

The ingredients include specialities such as poached Irish salmon, House cooked smoked ham and homemade Kinegar porter bread – and our pastries change to reflect the fruits of the season.

We also cater for gluten free diets.

We make everything fresh to order, so please mention any dietary requirements when you make your reservation and allow 24 hours notice.

Of course, at the heart of the experience is the drink itself. From a rich Oolong to a classic Irish Breakfast and wide selection of herbal and fruit teas to choose from, you will find teas that complement your food perfectly.
