Luxury Accommodation & Suites at Rockhill House, Donegal

Luxury Accommodation  ·  Letterkenny, County Donegal

A House With
centuries of history Told in 27 bespoke bedrooms and suites

Rockhill House offers 27 individually designed bedrooms and suites across two distinct settings — the historic main house, with its Georgian proportions, spiraling staircase, and period character, and The Coach House, a set of private, self-contained suites in the converted original stable block across the courtyard. Every room at Rockhill is different. Every room has a story.

All stays include a complimentary full Irish breakfast served in the Stewart Dining Room. Lunch and dinner are available at The Church restaurant and bar on the estate grounds. Guests are invited to enhance their stay with access to The Wellhouse Spa and Wellness Centre — one of the finest nature-focused thermotherapy spas in Ireland, set in a converted grain store a short walk from the main house.

19 Bedrooms  ·  The Main House

Suites & Guest Rooms in the Historic House

The 19 bedrooms in the main house blend the aristocratic grandeur of a 17th-century country estate with every modern comfort. Each has been individually designed to tell part of Rockhill’s story — rooms named for former owners, military commanders who served here, and the history that has accumulated across four centuries of continuous occupation.

3 Rooms  ·  Most Spacious

Signature Suites

Rockhill’s three Signature Suites offer the most generous spaces in the house — plush furnishings, period features, and the sense of occasion that comes from rooms of genuine grandeur. The Vandeleur Suite, named for John Vandeleur Stewart who transformed the house in 1832, is the principal bridal suite. The Lady Norbury Suite is named for Lady Helen Graham Toler, whose refinement and creativity left their mark on Rockhill House. Each suite is an experience as much as an accommodation.

Elegant Mid-Tier Rooms

Junior Suites

Individually designed rooms combining the period character of the house with the space and comfort to genuinely unwind. Each Junior Suite reflects a different chapter of Rockhill’s story — the estate’s Georgian owners, its military years, the landscape that surrounds it. A step up from a standard room; a very significant one.

Cosy & Characterful

Guest Rooms

The cosiest rooms in the house — smaller in scale but no less individual in character. Every guest room at Rockhill has been designed with care and furnished with quality. The O’Carroll Room, named for Lt Col Declan O’Carroll, is among the most requested. Perfect for a short break or a solo stay.

8 Suites  ·  Across the Courtyard

The Coach House

The original stable block of the estate, sympathetically converted into eight luxury self-contained suites across the courtyard from the main house. The Coach House offers a different, more private take on Rockhill’s Spirit of Place — its own entrance, its own atmosphere, and a level of independence that suits families, longer stays, and those who simply prefer their own front door.

Each suite includes a king bed, a personal seating area, a complimentary mini larder, and a kitchenette. All guests retain full access to the main house, The Wellhouse Spa, and The Church restaurant.
