The 100-acre woodland estate provides natural space for outdoor activities of every kind, while the house itself offers the rooms, the character, and the atmosphere that make an indoor programme feel like more than a meeting.

We work with a network of key partners to provide activities and entertainment ranging from clay pigeon shooting on the lawns to participative theatre productions on the estate grounds. From the obvious to the entirely unexpected, we will find a way to build it into your programme.

However unusual or unlikely your idea might seem — we would love to discuss it, and we will get to work on making it happen.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

A classic country estate activity and one of the finest natural ice-breakers for a corporate group. Professional instruction provided for all abilities — no prior experience required. Competitive enough to be engaging, relaxed enough to include everyone. A perennial favourite at Rockhill and a natural opener or closer to an away day.

Participative Theatre

Immersive and participative theatre productions on the estate grounds — one of the most distinctive team-building formats available anywhere. Working with experienced theatre practitioners, your group creates, performs, or participates in a production tailored entirely to your theme or brief. The estate’s woodland, lawns, and formal spaces provide a dramatic natural backdrop.

Hawk Walks

A guided falconry experience through the ancient woodland with Harris Hawks. One of Rockhill’s signature experiences and consistently the most talked-about by corporate guests. Suitable for all group sizes, requires no prior knowledge, and works beautifully as a group activity or as a free-choice experience within a wider programme.

Walled Garden  ·  Estate Experience

Bee Safari

A guided visit to the estate hives in the walled garden with beekeeper Frank Chaney. Informative, calming, and genuinely surprising for most groups. An excellent activity for a mid-morning break or as part of a wellness-themed programme. Works particularly well combined with a honey tasting and an explanation of the estate’s food provenance.

Croquet & Lawn Games

Croquet, boules, and outdoor games on the formal lawn. A natural way to end a working day before dinner, or to fill the gap between sessions in good weather. Competitive enough to generate genuine rivalry, relaxed enough to involve everyone. The walled garden provides an excellent alternative setting for smaller groups.

Guided Woodland Walks

Guided group walks through ancient woodland and meadow in the hills above Letterkenny, overlooking the River Swilly valley. An ideal way to open a programme, refresh a group between sessions, or build a structured outdoor challenge into the day. Walking routes of varying length and intensity can be designed around your group’s needs.

Cheese & Wine Tasting

A private tasting in the vaulted cellar of the house — a cave-like space beneath the original 17th-century structure. A natural and memorable way to close a working day before dinner. Ideal for senior leadership groups and client entertainment. Can include a Crolly Distillery whiskey element for a distinctly Donegal flavour.

Spa & Wellbeing

The Wellhouse Spa can be reserved for group bookings, with individual treatment slots arranged for your party. Massage, facials, and body treatments available. Works naturally as part of a wellness or incentive programme, or as an add-on for residential stays. Combined with morning yoga in the starry temple for a full day of restoration.
