Everything you need to know before your visit to The Wellhouse.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Pre-booking is essential for all visits to The Wellhouse.
Defined experiences can be booked online or through Rockhill House Reception.
What is required to secure my booking?
Card details are required to secure your reservation and a 50% deposit is required for bookings.
Your reservation is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
What is the cancellation policy?
The current working policy requires at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
Where the required notice is not given, a 50% charge applies.
Cancellations less than 24 hours before the service, or no-shows, incur a 100% charge.
Where is The Wellhouse?
The Wellhouse is within the Rockhill House Estate in County Donegal, surrounded by woodland, gardens and the wider estate.
Do I need to be staying at Rockhill House?
No.
The Wellhouse welcomes local guests, visitors from within driving distance and guests staying at Rockhill House.
What do you provide?
Robes, towels and flip-flops are supplied for Wellhouse experiences.
Guests should bring suitable swimwear for bathing and Thermotherapy.
Can I book the Atlantic Thermotherapy Ritual on its own?
Yes.

It is self-administered and can be booked directly.
Do I have to follow a Thermotherapy circuit?
The experience follows a structured Hot · Cold · Relax rhythm, but it remains guest-led.
Within your 90 minutes, you can experience the rhythm once, twice or up to three times, according to your own pace and preference.
There is no requirement to complete a set number of rounds.
Water, open air and time to pause form part of the wider experience.
Is the Thermotherapy Ritual self-guided?
Yes.
The rhythm is structured, but you choose your own pace and how many times you wish to move through it within your 90 minutes.
What is included?
The experience includes the designated indoor and outdoor Thermotherapy elements, including the saunas, experience showers, Thermotherapy Pool, outdoor whirlpool and associated rest spaces.
What treatments are available?
The treatment menu includes:
Intentional Treatments · Massage · Facials · Body Treatments · Men's Treatments · Pregnancy Treatments
The live treatment menu will provide current treatments, durations and prices.
Is Thermotherapy included with my treatment?
Your treatment (in excess of 45 minutes) includes 90 minutes' access to the Atlantic Thermotherapy Ritual.
Before or after your treatment, subject to availability.
What happens after my treatment?
Guests can continue into the Tranquillity Suite, with herbal tea and homemade cookies.
What should I expect during my treatment?
Your therapist will explain the treatment and ensure that you are comfortable throughout.
Professional draping is used to maintain privacy.
Disposable underwear is provided, or you may wear your own.
Do I need to tell my therapist about any health conditions?
Yes.
Please complete the consultation information accurately and discuss anything that may affect your treatment with your therapist.
Some treatments or experiences may not be suitable in particular circumstances.

Can I book the Atlantic Copper Bath Soak Ritual?
Yes.
It can be booked directly or purchased as a gift.

Optional Prosecco is available at €8 per glass.
Chilled water is included.

What happens during the Copper Bath Soak Ritual?
The experience begins at Wellhouse Reception.
After changing, you are provided with your robe, sandals and towel.
Your Bath Butler welcomes you and guides you through the ritual.
The journey includes the outdoor bubble shower, preparation of your chosen Seaweed or Peat infusion, the copper bath and time afterwards on the swing couch.
Chilled water is provided throughout for hydration.
Is the Copper Bath private?
Yes.
It is a private experience for one or two guests.
Is the Copper Bath part of Thermotherapy?
No.
The Atlantic Copper Bath Soak Ritual is a completely separate experience with its own booking and gift pathway.
Can I have lunch at Rockhill?
Yes, where available.
What is Thermotherapy + Lunch?
€80 per person
Includes €25 per person lunch credit.
Beverages excluded.
Available Wednesday–Sunday.
What is Thermotherapy + Afternoon Tea?
€89 per person
Available Wednesday–Sunday.
Can I come with friends?
Yes.
Circle of Friends is available for groups of 8 or more.
Is Circle of Friends a fixed package?
No.
It is a bespoke, enquiry-led group experience.
Does Circle of Friends include Treatments?
No.
The core experience is the 90-minute Atlantic Thermotherapy Ritual.
Does Circle of Friends include the Copper Bath?
No.
The Copper Bath remains a separate experience.
Can we add food or drink?
Yes.
Depending on the occasion and availability, options can include:

Can we arrange a private or bespoke experience?

Private groups, bespoke experiences and retreats can be discussed directly with the Rockhill team.
Can Circle of Friends include an overnight stay?
An overnight stay can be considered as an extension of a group experience.
Can I use my mobile phone?
The Wellhouse is intended to be a quiet environment.
Mobile phones and electronic devices should not be used within the spa experience.
Is The Wellhouse quiet?
We ask guests to keep noise to a minimum so everyone can enjoy their time here.
Can I buy a Wellhouse experience as a gift?
Yes.
Gift vouchers can be used for eligible treatments and experiences, including:

Can I buy a gift directly from an experience page?

What is an immersion?
An immersion gives you more time to explore a particular aspect of Rockhill or combine experiences around a shared intention.
It does not necessarily require an overnight stay.
What is a retreat?
A retreat is a longer experience of two days or more, with accommodation at Rockhill forming part of the experience.
Current retreat propositions should be confirmed before publication.
Can I arrange a private or bespoke Wellhouse experience?
Yes.
